    Article summary

    The Platform presents hierarchical areas in which you can create, configure, and work with all of the elements of your Authorization Policies. As you begin to work with the Platform, you will quickly notice the main Environments and Workspaces in which you can manage your Identities, Policies, Assets, Applications, and more.

    About the Main Display

    The Platform's title bar contains:

    • Home button (PlainID logo), which returns you to the top-level view of the Tenant
    • Tenant name
    • User name (and initials). Click to access an option to log out
    • Product Updates icon to view recent notifications including release notes and feature focus posts.
    • Settings icon, which opens the Tenant Settings screen

    Tenant Level

    Environment Level

    Within the Tenant are the Environments created and customized by the Organization.

    The three black vertical dots on the right side of each Environment give you access to:

    Workspace Level

    Environments contain Workspaces where you create and manage Identities, Policies, and more.

    Note: Viewing Environments and Workspaces is subject to Permissions configured by the System Administrator. For more information, see: Configuring Settings and Permissions.

    The following Workspace types exist in the Platform, including:

    By default, the Authorization accordion is displayed and the Identity accordion is collapsed. When collapsed, the accordion view provides users with some insights into the hidden Workspaces by showing the number of objects managed within each Workspace and the last time the Workspace was updated.

    Workspace Icons

    Workspace icons include:

    Identity and Authorization WorkspacesOpens the Dynamic Group List screen (Identity Workspace) and Policies List (Authorization Workspace) showing a complete, searchable list of available objects.
    Settings icon

    All WorkspacesOpens the Settings screen for the Workspace.

    Note that the Orchestration Workspace must be added using the Manage Workspaces option.
