PlainID provides AI capabilities that enhance Policy management, governance, and compliance visibility across a Tenant. This AI layer analyzes policy structure and enforcement logic to generate clear, human-readable insights that support both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
With AI enabled, tenants can:
- Automatically generate natural-language Policy descriptions that explain intent, scope, and enforcement behavior.
- Identify Policy scores with major regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA through inferred regulatory tags.
- Gain insight into the impact of changes between your Platform Policies and third-party SaaS vendor policies
AI capabilities are designed to assist, not replace, Tenant control. All generated content remains fully editable and governed by Tenant-defined rules.

Enabling AI Capabilities for a Tenant
AI features are managed at the Tenant level and must be explicitly enabled by a Tenant Administrator.
To enable AI features:
- Click Tenant Settings in the navigation bar.
- Select the AI Settings tab.
- Click Edit.
- Enable the Manage access to AI Features for this Tenant toggle.
- Review and approve the AI Terms of Use.
Once enabled, AI capabilities become available across supported Policy workflows in the Tenant.
Scope and Control
- AI features are opt-in and tenant-controlled.
- AI does not enforce decisions or change policy behavior.
- All AI-generated content can be reviewed, edited, or replaced by users at any time.
