Integrations enable automatic discovery of AI agents from external platforms and populate them into the AI Agent Registry. This allows you to maintain a centralized, up-to-date inventory of agents without manual effort.
When an integration is configured, the Platform connects to the external vendor, retrieves agent data, and maps it into a unified schema. Each discovered agent is enriched with default and vendor-specific Attributes, ensuring consistency across all sources.
Supported AI Platforms for Integration
PlainID supports integration with:
- AWS Bedrock AgentCore
- Microsoft Foundry
Refer to the AI Platform Connection Settings for more information about each Plaform
Discovering AI Agents through Integration
Each integration operates independently and can be configured multiple times for the same vendor if needed. All agents discovered through different integrations are stored in the shared registry.
The registry ensures that data from multiple sources is unified into a consistent structure, enabling easier analysis and future Policy use.
To create an AI agent integration for Discovery:
- Create or select your Protection Workspace.
- Select one of the supported AI Platforms.
- Click on Add Policy Orchestration Point.
- In the General section, enter the required details:
- Display Name.
- POP ID.
- Description (optional).
- In the Connection Settings section, enter the required fields.
- Refer to the AWS Bedrock or Microsoft Foundry documentation for more information about the fields.
- Click Test Connection to verify connectivity and permissions. If the test fails, review the error message and ensure IAM permissions are correctly configured.
- After a successful test, click Create.
After the integration is created, an initial discovery process starts automatically, with multiple Action in progress indications.
Troubleshooting
If the connection test fails, verify the credentials. Ensure that permissions allow access to resources and confirm network connectivity.
If agents are not discovered, recheck the integration configuration, validate AWS permissions, and rerun the connection test.
