Orchestration Workspaces in the PlainID Platform provide a single place to discover and manage assets from connected vendor systems. To simplify configuration and Policy management, dedicated Side Panels are available for both Policies and Objects.
Side Panels are designed to help you compare, configure, and synchronize vendor information with the Platform.
Policy Side Panel
The Policy Side Panel allows you to compare PlainID Policies against their vendor equivalents. You can review the Suggested Policy from the Platform alongside the Deployed Policy discovered from the vendor.
The panel highlights discrepancies, enables deployments, and supports overriding Policies in either direction. In Manage Mode, discrepancy indicators appear when Policies differ between systems or if a deployment fails.
This ensures that you can quickly detect changes and take corrective actions, keeping Policies synchronized across the Platform and vendor tenants.
Objects Side Panel
The Objects Side Panel provides configuration options for vendor objects such as tables, views, and tags.
In Learn Mode, the panel is read-only, reflecting the vendor tenant state.
In Manage Mode, you can define objects as Identity Sources, configure correlations, and specify which columns are available for masking Policies.
These configurations make discovered vendor objects directly usable in Policy logic within the Platform, aligning vendor data structures with PlainID authorization.
