# PlainID Token Enrichment Service

{{snippet.IDPAuthLink}}

The IDP Token Enrichment service serves as a bridge between the external IDP (Identity Provider) token flows and PlainID’s Policy Decision Point (PDP). Many IDP providers allow token claims to be enriched by connecting to external data sources during user login. PlainID’s Policy Decision Point (PDP) can act as an enrichment provider, enhancing token claims with additional data based on Policy-driven decisions.

The IDP Token Enrichment service enables seamless integration by adapting to each IDP vendor’s proprietary configuration and mapping requirements, aligning them with PlainID’s request and response patterns.

Refer to [Configuring the IDP Token Enrichment Service](/v1/docs/configuring-the-idp-token-enrichment-service){target=`_blank`} for more details.
